Leah Welsh - Founder and CEO of LL Records and signed artist

LL Records' Founder and CEO, Leah Welsh, has become the first artist to be signed to the label. Welsh is a musician with a masters degree in Music Management from the University of Leeds and her passion to create a music industry hub in the North of England led her to create LL Records.

"After graduating with my bachelors in Music, I carried on my studies with an MA in Music Management. Now that I am towards the end of my studies, I have really struggled to find a job in the mainstream recording industry in the North of England. I love my home city of Liverpool and I have grown to love my uni city of Leeds, but we don't have the same opportunities to grow as artists as those in our capitol do. So, I founded LL Records for myself, and other Northern musicians." - Leah Welsh

Lakeside View (2021) by Leah Welsh

She released her debut single in 2021 after graduating from LIPA Sixth Form College. Lakeside View was a small hit and told the emotional story of her grandparents' deaths during the Covid lockdown in the UK. Releasing music by herself for over 4 years has given her a baseline understanding of the recording industry, and with her masters-level education in Music Management, she can now start her very own record label for herself and others like her.
